Siatista
Imposing and impressive built in the 900 metres, Siatista is unique. Having a rich and attractive history, Siatista is present in each your step. The Mansions of Siatista
The mansions of Siatista (above fifty, from which visiting), built as castles impress with their internal decor: carved in wood ceilings, multicoloured fireplaces, astonishing bitro, all genuine work of art. And only for her mansions Siatista deserves to visit her. We indicatively report: Poulkos, Manousi, Maliogka, Tzonou,[Kanatsouli and Nerantzopoulou ( in bitro, you can see verses inspired from the Omiros) and the mansion Dolgkira, with rich folklore material (restored and furnished, in it travels in the past), and the visiting traditional residence of Tsiotsiou and Nterou.

Churches
In Saint Paraskevi (1677) you can admire the gold carved in wood chancel screen and splendid murals, while in the splint of the place for women you can see between the Saints the forms of ancient wise men (Solon, Platon, Thoukididis, Ploutarchos, Aristotle, Sibyl etc.) and this witness many for the educative level of Siatistians.
You can also see the churches of Saint Minas, Prophet Ilias, Saint George, Saint Nikanoras, Saint Christoforos and of course the two temples of Saint Nikolaos and Saint Dimitrios with very tall belfries.
In Mikrokastro dominates the Monastery of Virgin Mary, very beautiful and with unique atmosphere.

Library
“Manouseia” library entertains infrequent publications and manuscripts from the 16th century and following and is accommodated in the Intellectual Centre of city, next to the Town hall (impressive buildings, dance floor in the unique architecture of Macedonia).

Museums
In the Palaiontologikal Museum are entertained discoveries of region: [apolithomenoi] tusks, departments mammouth, rhinoceros, various rocks and mining.
The botanic Museum functions for 20 years, is unique in his species in Greece and includes above 700 tables of flowers and plants and above 500 infrequent butterflies and reptiles from the region of Bourinos (where the nature lover finds his paradise).
In the Ecclesiastical Museum the visitor familiarizes itself with the ecclesiastical art and at the same time comprehends the relation of Siatista with the known centres of production of work of art as Kastoria, Eptanisa, Venice.


Visiting traditional cellars
Each one can enter in the visiting traditional cellars (known as katogia) that they unfold all over the city and meet the secrets of siatistian wine and taste the famous “iliasto” wine that is produced with traditional and biological way. The producers can give all the information about the production of wines, a process that remains inalterable in the passage of centuries.


Fur and leathers products
With a history of hundreds of years in leather and fur, Siatista remains today the leader of furs with her exceptional craftsmen that are acquaintances in the all world, but also willing explaining to the visitor all the steps of production.
In the leather clothing Siatista has been valorisen in the market for the exceptional quality, the enormous variety and low prices.

Tradition and customs
Siatista has a great tradition and unique customs which the visitor can meet only here.
Kladaries: On 23 December Siatista celebrates “Kolianta”. Big fires turn on in many places of Siatista and create a unique spectacle for Siatistians and visitors, with the escort of traditional sounds from local musicians, siatistian wine and local food. “Mpoumpousiaria”: On  5 and 6 January Siatista celebrates the custom of Mpoumpousiaria. The eve of 6 January the squares and the streets of Siatista fill with people dressed with different uniforms and local musicians. On 6 January there is the big parade of chariots and disguised. The local shops, café and restaurant attract the visitors and offer those traditional sounds and food.
Dekapentaugoustos: The custom of kabalarides pilgrims of Virgin Mary attracts every year a lot of visitors. It has his roots in the years of Ottoman domination, when the feast of Virgin Mary gave the occasion in the enslaved residents of region to live one day of freedom, while unwritten privilege it appears to had been given by Ottomans.
Nowadays the custom is maintained inalterable by the deterioration of time and revives each year with the same passion, joy and faith in the tradition. On the decorated horses the Siatistians kavalarides begins the morning of 15 August to go to the Monastery of Virgin Mary, in Mikrokastro. They return the midday and people welcomes while they march on their horses. It follows dance with traditional sounds in the squares, shops and neighbourhoods of Siatista until the next day morning.

Accommodation, food and entertainment
Siatista offers to the visitor everything he needs for a pleasant stay and gives hin the change to know and explore the city as well as make visits to other neighbouring places as Kastoria, Florina and Grevena.

In Siatista there are four modern hotels which they can satisfy every demanding visitor and provide  all the comforts. The hotels are “ARXONTIKO”, “IBERIS]”, “SIATISTA”, “SIATISTINO ARXONTARIKI”).
Crossing the Siatista, the visitor can find many places for food, coffee and drinks  as well as taste the local specialties.

In the Square CHORA of Siatista there is the Information Kiosk of Municipal Enterprise of Culture, Environment Tourism and Sports of Siatista (D.E.P.P.T.A.S.) for information and touring to the mansions, churches and museums of Siatista.
